Thousands of residents of the Ngleshie-Domeabra in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region have called on the Minister of National Security, Mr Albert Kan Dapaah and Police CID to intervene in attempting murder plot hatched by some elements within the Ga State who had hired the services of Jamel Ibrahim and others to allegedly assassinate a kingmaker of Ngleshie-Domeabra and other prominent personality.

According to the residents, it is a high time for the National Security Minister to intervene in this life-threatening matter to ensure that the operatives of Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) arrest personalities whose names were mentioned by the assassin suspect, Jamel Ibrahim during his cautioned statements.

The residents noted that Jamel Ibrahim who is the ring leader of the assassins was arrested at the Amanfrom Police Station Bus-Stop for past one month ago mentioned the names of some personalities who are brain behind the attempted crime.

During interrogation after his arrest, this paper learned that Jamel Ibrahim mentioned various names of the personalities who had contracted him to commit the crime but the  Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) personnels had since not effected any arrest.

"We are commending the operatives of Bureau of National Investigation for doing their good job in this matter, but we are now saying that there are enough of their interrogations; we are pleading with the Minister of National Security Minister to impress upon the BNI operatives to come out and tell us why investigations to arrest the other assassins have delayed," the residents of Ngleshie-Domeabra stressed.

"There is tension brewing within the Ngleshie-Domeabra following what the residents described as shielding of some murder suspects who were hired by some elements within the Ga State to allegedly assassinate a kingmaker of Ngleshie-Domeabra and other prominent personality.

.
"However, it was exactly one month now Jamel Ibrahim was arrested, but the personnels  of Bureau of National Investigations who took over the case had not arrested these personalities whose names Jamel Ibrahim has mentioned and that these personalities are seen moving free on the streets of the Ga State," the residents noted.

Per the brief fact of the beginning of the case,
Mr Jamel Ibrahim was reported to have visited the private his house of the said kingmaker of Ngleshie-Domeabra with the false pretence by way of claiming that they got a hint that one real estate developer has brought in many offensive weapons into Domeabra township.

In this regard, Jamel Ibrahim claimed that he was officially sent by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to come and investigate the matter but the statement of Jamel Ibrahim was found to be a lie.

The sources indicated that Jamel Ibrahim ostensibly visited the private house of the  kingmaker of Ngleshie-Domeabra in order to clearly identify him so that he (Jamel Ibrahim) might not kill the wrong person.
