Tema Metropolitan Assembly Shift System in Manhean Presby Basic School With 10 Units Block Story.

The Mayor of Tema Metropolitan Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, Honourable Yohane Amarh Ashitey has fulfilled his promise to

end shift system in Manhean Presbyterian basic school with ten units block storey building to aid the school from running shift system in the Metropolis.

The mayor of Tema addressing the media on 19th December 2022 when he donated six hundred mono desks to the four schools within the metropolis promised he will make sure the shift system will end in Tema starting this academic term because, through research, he has realized that the shift system affects the performance of students due to lack of enough time needed for teachers to catch up with the academic calendar which ends up affecting these students during their final year examination.

According to him, the lack of infrastructure in most of the schools forced the teachers to run the shift system due to that, the assembly has provided the school with a mono desk and classroom block to curb the canker.

Madam Bernice Offei, the Director for Ghana Education Service in Tema Metropolis said, Tema Manhean Presby A/B will now go to straight day like other schools after the school storey has been commissioned by the Chief Executive and the Tema Traditional
council.

Now the problem of this shift system has been taken care of and this gesture will go a long way to help the students and will aid teaching and learning activities in the school and help improve the performance of the students.

Madam Bernice further appealed to the MCE to once again come to assist the nursery department with learning aids since this new edifice will increase the enrollment of all departments of the school in the nursery section.
