Speaking in aa interview after the Wenchi High Court on Wednesday dismissed a Petition filed by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in respect of the 2020 Parliamentary elections to annul the election of the Honourable Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah.

A Counsel of the Electoral Commission of Ghana Mr Emmanuel Addai has reaffirmed that the Electoral Body or no One can manipulate the system to favour a Political Party or Candidate during counting at the polling station or collation and declaration therefore people should disbelieve such negative thoughts and continue to have faith in the Electoral Commission (EC).

Speaking in aa interview after the Wenchi High Court on Wednesday dismissed a Petition filed by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in respect of the 2020 Parliamentary elections to annul the election of the Honourable Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah.

Honourable Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah is the Member of the people for Techiman South Constituency in the Bono East Region.

The Court Presided over by His Lordship Justice Frederick Arnold Nawurah after throwing out the petition describing it as frivolous and without merit also fined the Petitioner Mr Christopher Beyere Baasongti, the 2020 NDC Parliamentary Candidate an amount of Gh¢100, 000 to be shared between the Member of Parliament the (First Respondent) and the Electoral Commission (Second Respondent)

For his part, Mr Peter Mac Manu a former New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman and Campaign Manager for the 2020 Elections maintained that Honourable Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah was validly and lawfully elected as announced by the Electoral Commission therefore the accused NDC intentionally engaging in propaganda simply to mislead their ignorant followers.

Finally, Honourable Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah the vindicated Member of Parliament for Techiman South who doubles as a Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development expressed his gratitude to the Court, his Party and entire Constituents and pledge not to relent in his pursuit to develop Techiman South.
