Lack of teachers at Aboaboso M/A Primary School in the Asunafo North Municipal of Ahafo Region has compelled teachers to combine classes to be able to impart children.

Two teachers in the school adequate classrooms block have combined pupils from class 1 to 3. Class 4 and 6 have also been put together and according to the pupil, it affects their learning leading to the withdrawal of students by parents to help them to farm on school days.

Pupils of Aboaboso M/A Primary School have therefore appealed to the government and the Ghana Education Service for teachers.

The Chief of Aboaboso, Nana Kwame Okyere Alias Yusif Okyere said though the government have provided adequate classroom block for school while the community have also built quarters for teachers yet two school teachers are only on duty following transfers.

The Assembly Member for the Area, Honourable Samuel Anto said the school celebrated its 40th-anniversary last year and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the community have acquired land to establish JHS but because there is a lack of teachers, plans have halted.
