TATu: Bawumia Hailed for asphalting University inner roads

Students of the Tamale Technical University and other neighbourhoods who ply the inner roads of the University have gotten a sigh of relief following the Vice President intervention.

Before the University roads were asphalted as promised two weeks ago by the Vice President, it has always been a challenge to the school Authorities, students and motorists.

In view of this, the President of the Student Representative Council (SRC) of the Tamale Technical University, Mr Alhassan Mashud together with other students have lauded the Vice President, Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia for honouring his promise by asphalting the inner roads of the school.

According to him, it's refreshing to see the deplorable roads of the Tamale Technical University (TATu) fixed by no other person, but the second gentleman of the country.

He said the school roads has been in a very deplorable condition for ages, which affected students and other road users on daily basis.

Mr Mashud noted that the road is now much safer than before. He further appealed to political heads and individuals to emulate the good work of the Vice President.

On behalf of the Students of the Tamale Technical University, Mr Mashud thanked the Vice President for the honour done to the University and however appealed for more interventions from corporate bodies and individuals.

Some Students of the University also registered their gratitude to the Vice President, stating that they now feel safe when using the asphalted road, and it would go a long way to help motorists.

Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia on Saturday, 26th June 2021 at the 70th-anniversary celebration of the Tamale Senior High School pledged to asphalt roads within the Education Ridge enclave which includes Tamasco, Tamale College of Education(TATCO), Tamale Senior High School( Tamasco), Bagabaga College of Education(BATCO), and Tamale Technical University(TaTU).
