Tamale Teaching Hospital Needs Urgent Attention - Patient's Relative's Appeals
Blackout at Tamale Teaching Hospital

There has been an intermittent power outage at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) and its surrounding communities for a couple of days now.

The predicament largely occurs during night hour's when doctors and nurses are attending to patients.

The shortfall has compelled management of the facility to venture into the usage of the hospital power plant, which also consistently breaks down in the middle of health care delivery.

There was a total blackout at the facility last night when Soireenews news visited the place, which happens to be the only referral health centre for five regions of the North.

Some family members of patients who spoke to the news team bemoaned the current situation of the facility, stating that the happenings deform the status of the hospital.

According to them, the intermittent power outage has affected several operations at the female ward, and many patients are suffering as a result.

They however appealed to the hospital authorities and government for immediate attention.

At the time of the report, the Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Mr Misbawu Mohammed has not proven his readiness to comment on the matter.
