Management of the Tamale City Football Club has called on the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Football Association to investigate their Sunday attack at Nsoatre in the Bono Region after their 1-1 match draw with Baffour Soccer Academy.

Addressing Journalists in Tamale after the players of the club sustained stone injuries and were subsequently admitted to the Sunyani Hospital, the Public Relations Officer of the club, Mr. Abdullah Abdul Matin pledged their commitment to collaborate with police to get to the bottom of the incident.

According to him, they are in the league with competency and discipline, and they are resolute to qualify for the Ghana premier league.

Mr. Abdullah revealed that the machinations and attacks on their players started before the commencement of the football match, stressing that keys to the stadium were hidden away from them.

He accused the management of Baffour Soccer Academy of masterminding the pre and the after-match attacks, stating that their players were denied access to the dressing room.

He noted that fans of Baffour Soccer Academy physically assaulted their players in the tunnel of the stadium before they managed to get into the football pitch.

He further revealed that after their 1-1 draw with their counterpart, their player's vehicles were destroyed with their classes damaged.

Captain of Tamale City football Club, Senior Collins on his part gave thanks to supporters of the Club for sympathizing with them but assured them that the intimidation and attacks will not discourage them from qualifying for the premier league.

Meanwhile, a video intercepted by this portal saw angry youth believed to be supporters of the Baffour Soccer Academy on motorbikes giving a hot chase to the players whilst pelting their stones.

Some of the players in the vehicle got injured and they were rushed to the Sunyani Hospital for treatment.
