Tain District Assembly in the Bono region has presented more than 700 dual desks to the district directorate of the Ghana Education Service for distribution to 48 Junior High and Primary schools in the area.

The presentation held on Monday, 30-08-2021 in Nsawkaw, the district capital, is aimed at fostering teaching and learning in the district and environs.

Mr Manu Isaac, Presiding Member of the Assembly who presented the furniture on behalf of the District Chief Executive (DCE), Lawyer Foriwaa Dwomoh,  asked the directorate to ensure the fair distribution of the desks to needy schools.

Mr Domah Mark Godfred, district director of education, who received the furniture, noted the timely donation, saying it would help solve the problem in some schools that need them.

He said his office would ensure proper maintenance of the items as well as intensify the monitoring and supervision in schools to improve teaching and learning.

Nana Barima Appiah Kubi, Atipemhene of Nsawkaw Traditional Council, who was present expressed gratitude on behalf of the Omanhene, Okogyeaman Duodu Ampem II, for the support.
