The Krontihene of Seikwa in the Tain District of the Bono Region, Nana Kwasi Kaka III has called for calm among the youth seeking for the disqualification of current DCE, Charity Oforiwaa Dwomo and the former MP Gabriel Osei from the MMDCE’s race.


Concerned NPP youth in Tain District of Bono Region have called for the disqualification of the former Member of Parliament for the area, Gabriel Osei and he acting District Chief Executive, Charity Akua Foriwaa Dwomo, in the Municipal and District Chief Executives race.

The two are among 114 individuals who have submitted applications to be considered and appointed to head the 12 municipal and districts in Bono region.

Tain District has the highest number of 15 contestants, followed by Jaman South with 14 persons also vying for the position.

Jaman North has 12 aspirants, Dormaa West, 7, Dormaa Central, 5, Dormaa East, 4, Banda, 11, Sunyani Municipal, 6, Sunyani West, 7, Berekum East, 10, Berekum West, 8 and Wenchi, 5.


The Youth of Tain emphasized that the former MP and the acting DCE constitute the major problem for the NPP in the constituency, which led to the party loss of the parliamentary seat in the 2020 election. 

They accused the two officials of creating divisions among the party followers in he area.
Speaking to Soiree News, Fred Gyan, leader of the youth, said the appointment of any of the two would hinder the party’s chances of winning any election in the area.

But Krontihene of Seikwa, Nana Kwasi Kaka III said the act to him means the youth do not have confidence in the President of the Republic if not they would leave everything in his hand.

Nana Kwasi Kaka appealed to them to unite and support whoever the Nana Akufo Addo will name for the position for the development of the district.
