A report from Osino, the Fanteakwa District Capital of the Eastern Region of Ghana indicates that a young man believed to be in his early 20's has been lynched this morning by some young men.
 
In an interview with some residents on, Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Osino, they opined that the incident took place before 6:30 am, adding that the young man was chased after he was caught attempting to break into someone’s house.

The suspect took to his heels when he was spotted.

 He attempted to make his way to Osino Presbyterian cemetery and was being pursued by a mob of young and energetic men.

The information indicates that the angry youth caught and subjected him to severe beatings until the helpless young man fell unconscious before leaving him unattended.

Before the incident, a mobile money vendor at Osino was robbed at gunpoint and sustained gunshots and is now seeking health care at The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

As of the time of filing this report, no arrest had been made as a police investigation is underway.
