Suspected Criminal lynched at Nkawkaw 

Preliminary investigations have begun into the alleged attempt to steal sheep from some residents which led to the lynching of the suspected thief.

Information gathered from Nkwakwa Apesika, a community in the Kwahu West Municipality in the Eastern region of Ghana indicates, that a young man, believed to be in his 30s has been lynched by a mob at Nkawkaw Apesika for allegedly attempting to steal sheep from some residents.

The victim was seen in the vicinity early this morning as police were called in to save the suspect from been killed by the angry youth.

No information yet about the Suspect's identity, even though, sources closed to SoireeNews indicates they were about three suspected criminals, however, two out of them managed to escape after the alert and are currently at large.

The suspect is currently undergoing medical treatment at the Holy Family Hospital while police continue with protection.
 
The police have therefore commenced investigations into the cause of the alleged attempt to steal which led to his lynching as preliminary investigations show foul play.

The victim has been at the Holy Family Hospital receiving treatment under the guides of the Nkwakwa Police Command.

The police are yet to give details about the incident but have confirmed the incident to the media.
