Support Government To Promote Quality Education For School Children --Dormaa West DCE Urges Stakeholders When He Visits Four Schools At My First Day At School
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Dormaa West District Assembly in the Bono Region, Francis Kwadwo Oppong, has called on the stakesholders  to support the government to provide quality education for the school children in the district.

The DCE noted that the government has provided the needed environment for sound teaching and learning and called on all stakeholders to complement the efforts of the government  to ensure quality education for school children.
He mentioned some interventions such as the Capitation Grant, School Feeding Programme, and the supply of textbooks  to enhance teaching and learning.

Mr Oppong made the forgoing call in an interview with Soireenews.cpm on Wednesday January 11, 2023 when he visited four schools in the district, as part of the “My first Day at School” programme, instituted by the government of Ghana.

The schools visited were Aboaboso D/A prim., Yaakrom D/A primary,  Yaakrom Presby primary and Diabaa D/A primary.
The “my first day at school” visit was to allow the DCE and his  officials to welcome fresh entrants of primary and kindergarten one to school and encourage them to attend school regularly, increase enrolment and strive to learn hard.

He was accompanied by the District  Coordinating Director, Mr Iddrisu Mahama, and his two deputies, the district  SHEP Cordinator and other officers from the Education Directorate.

The DCE distributed items such as  drinks and biscuits to motivate and welcome the fresh pupils to Kindergarten and class One.
