Some traders at the Sunyani in Sunyani have expressed worry over the low sales they have been recording after the Christmas

According to them, they were expecting a boom in trading activities, but the situation seems different as many of them complain of a “bad market.”
To them, “even though January has always been a tough month with normal hardship resulting to low sales, this year’s seems different.
The traders told Soiree News in an interview that the inclination of the public to purchase has diminished, largely due to “no money in the system” resulting in loss of income.
They believe that the resumption of the academic year has also been contributing to the menace as parents are paying huge sums of monies for fees for their wards.
“The poor sales can also be attributed to school opening of schools especially universities and the payment of school fees.
However, they were optimistic that trading activities would pick up after students go to school to make up for the losses.
January has always been described by many as the thought since is the first month after Christmas.
Whilst most people believe the hardship can be attributed to the excess expenditure made during the yuletide, others also believe the Month is too long.
To some also, it is because salaries for December are paid earlier due to Christmas, it makes the January Month too long counting from the date December Salaries are paid.
