The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Suhum, Madam Margaret Darkwah and Constituency Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party for Suhum, Mr. Frederick Ofosu has chosen to settle their differences at Court for character defamation.

According to the Suhum Constituency Chairman, who is also an assembly member, in the municipal, said the MCE has demonstrated on countless occasions the disrespect towards him and it is time the law takes its cost to set as a deterrent for others to desist from such acts.

A source close to SN24 News indicates that the internal wrangling started as far back as August 2020 after some school feeding caterers were forced by the chairman to abandoned their jobs which the MCE resisted on their behalf has since generated enmity in the hierarchy.

Additionally, the MCE feels she is being sabotaged by the Constituency Chairman, Mr. Ofosu following a press conference by the youth wing of the party on 21st of January 2021 against her re-nomination as the Municipal Chief Executive.

A voice of an interview granted by the MCE, circulating on social media and in Suhum currently shows that the bitterness and apathy among the party hierarchy of the Constituency is beyond imagination and a delay to address the issues will divide the party in Suhum constituency.

The audio of the MCE alleged that the Constituency Chairman made all efforts to call for the removal of the formal regional minister.

The voice of the current MCE, also shows that the Constituency Chairman has created disunity among the constituency since he joined the NPP from the opposition National Democratic Congress some years ago.

These among other internal wrangling l has forced Mr. Ofosu to seek clarifications from the court of competent jurisdiction.
