INNOCENT individuals land developers and organisations who had bought lands from Kwesi Alhaji and his associates are advised to immediately consult the principal elders and heads of Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region since the lands in the area are under the royal stool.

Consequently, the elders of the Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool led by Nana Essel sent a strong worded warnings to the potential land developers and organisations should not dare to buy lands from Kwesi Alhaji and his followers in Gomoa Fetteh.

Addressing a press conference in Apam, the Principal Secretary to Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool Nana Essel, however, advised that people who have been running to Kwesi Alhaji who is parading himself as Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh to purchase land without asking for proper documentation from the custodian owners of the lands, to exercise caution so as not to get defrauded.

He stated that the lands in Gomoa Fetteh are stool lands and that Kwesi Alhaji and his followers donot have any authority to sell these lands to any individual and organisation and that those who are buying these lands from Kwesi Alhaji risk of losing their landed properties in the future.

Nana Essel asserted “Gomoa is a Fante state, thus Akan and our succession are matrilineal. Therefore, Gomoa Fetteh’s customs are founded on the aforementioned principles and any attempt to deceive the general public, particularly residents, businesses, landowners, and developers in Gomoa Fetteh and its enclaves criminal and a recipe for the continued hardships our people have been chastised with over decades.”

He stressed that the Chief of Gomoa Fetteh Divisional Stool, Nana Abor Ewusie and the elders of Gomoa Fetteh Stool were the allodia owners of the lands at Gomoa Fetteh including the Kasoa Millennium City.

He pointed that they subsequently registered their lands at the Lands Commission of Ghana and provided the land registration certificates to prove their claim.

He pointed that Kwesi Alhaji and his boys  allegedly demolished the building structures and also resold the said lands they had acquired legally without recourse to the law of registration of lands at the Lands Commission.

"But now that l am in charge of affairs l would make sure that we reclaim what belongs to the Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool," Nana Essel assured.

Following this development, he called on the National Security Minister, Albert Kan Dapaah and the Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare to swoop the area and arrest all individuals involved in land-guard activities in order to protect the lands from encroachment.

Nana Essel on behalf of the Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool Family accused Kwesi Alhaji of eroding the progress made in the area following the protracted chieftaincy disputes.

Nana Essel said the family will insist that the 'Mankrado' steps down claiming he is not the true occupant to the stool.

In a five-point agenda, the Royal family said  Queen mother, Ohembaa Amoasina Nkrabea I, who has reigned since 1989, is alive and still on the stool but another Queen mother has been installed.

There is presently an "Omankrado in Gomoa Fetteh but another one has been installed. Again, another Chief of the royal family and Abusuapanyin have all been replaced by a rival chief and Abusuapanyin respectively”.

"Now the elders and Kingmakers of Gomoa Fetteh do not accept anything untraditional and for that matter we do not recognize these people as chiefs.Usually these lead to numerous gunmen into the town and they sound several gun shots causing fear and panic an nobody takes them on," Nana Essel emphasized.
