Ghanaian artiste, Stonebwoy has called out the critics who have been bashing his new 'Putuu' track.

According to him, the song came as a result of himself trying to express his creativity in a different way. He stated that critics have been talking down the song because they do not just fully understand creativity.

This comes after ace media personality, Michael Ola, openly labeled the song as a stupid and a disappointing from a legend like Stonebwoy. He further said the song is just an unwanted form of "noise pollution" because it lacks sense.

Riddim Boss also, in a conversation with Andy Dosty, echoed Ola Michael's views, as he called the song trash too. He was however immediately set straight by Mr. Logic on the show, who explained that songs like Putuu exist in a genre not widely known.

"Riddim Boss is my guy but he needs to learn something here about songs. We have mumble humming and gibberish songs. Gibberish songs automatically don’t make sense but they come with melodies. Such songs are allowed internationally and that is how come it is number one now.” Mr. Logic said.

Stonebwoy has now come to set the record straight once and for all.

"Actually Putuu is a song to ease people's stress in these Covid-19 times while we remember to pray about the situation. I’m a very creatively gifted individual who is supposed to keep people’s hopes and moods uplifted in sad times,” he revealed in an interview with Graphic Showbiz.

Stonebwoy maintained that he does not really care for the critics who have been bashing the song since he's aware that everyone is entitled to his own opinions. He stated that if the song was as trash as the critics are saying it is, it will not be trending as much as it is right now.

"It is not everyone who will like your song. I don’t expect everyone to jump on the song but I know the majority of Ghanaians and my fans worldwide are enjoying it big time."

“The song was a freestyle but it leaked and the public demanded it so we had to release it. Trust me I am surprised about the way it is flying so fast,”
