Newcastle manager, Steve Bruce has left Newcastle’s training ground after meeting the club’s new owners, Sky Sports reports.

Bruce met with Amanda Staveley and her husband Mehrdad Ghoudoussi face-to-face for the first time this afternoon during their 90 minute visit.

No decision has been made yet on his future, but Bruce is expected to be relieved of his duties before Sunday’s match against Spurs.

Bruce, who has been in charge for over two years, would be due £8m in compensation if he’s sacked.

The Times report that Bruce has three years left on his deal with the Premier League club – as his contract “is automatically renewed and extended to its original length” every summer.

The Saudi Public Investment Fund completed their £305m takeover of the club last week and will be looking to appoint their own manager.

The Premier League club has drawn thrice, losing the rest of their matches after seven games. They are 19th on the table.
