Mr Mawulolo Anane, a census Supervisor at the Sunyani West Municipality has described the just begun Population and Housing Census as smooth following the commencement of enumeration by the staff of the institution this morning.

Speaking in an interview with Soiree news, Mr Anane said the Census night’s activity was held at various communities and towns across the Municipality to create awareness.

He told that it also provided an avenue to take off the imaginary snapshot to identify where the nights were spent adding that the same activities were carried out at the various lorry stations to capture those who were travelling during the night where Identification cards were given them.

Beginning the enumeration this morning, Institutions such as Hotels and guest houses, Police stations, Prisons and the various Senior High Schools are being visited to begin the enumeration.

He added that, there are two faces of the census; listing and enumeration, as the listing of structures have been done already where they asked basic information about the household the  activities that goes on in the household.

The enumeration he said goes into details of the individual’s personal information Starting with the head of the family to the spouse in that order as they ask about age, place of birth, ages work among other information.

The Sunyani West Municipal census Supervisor, Mr. Mawulolo Anane commended residents of the municipality for the corporations from the listing of structures through to the enumeration itself.
