Spain reopens Morocco's border crossings.

Following the resolution of a drawn-out diplomatic issue, Spain has reopened the gates of its North African enclaves Ceuta and Melilla to Moroccan workers, two years after they were closed.

The borders were initially closed during the coronavirus pandemic, but later became embroiled in a dispute over migration and the Western Sahara issue.

Tensions rose in May when Madrid permitted Brahim Ghali, the leader of the Polisario movement in Western Sahara, to be treated for Coronavirus in a Spanish hospital.
