South African High Commission Counselor of Economic Embarks On Two (2) Days Visit To Ahafo Region

South African High Commission Counselor of Economics will arrive in Ahafo Region on Tuesday 8th June 2021 for a two-day visit aimed at enhancing economic cooperation between the Region and South Africa.

Mr. Mzwakhe Lubisi, South African High Commission Counselor of Economics will arrive in Ahafo Region on Tuesday 8th June 2021 for a two-day visit aimed at enhancing economic cooperation between the Region and South Africa.

His visit follows that of the Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. George Boakye to the South Africa Embassy in April 2021 in Accra, on discussions on the potential investment opportunities in the Region. 

During the upcoming visit, the South African delegation will do a project scope and assess the economic project opportunities to attract investors to the region before the South African Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Ms. Grace Jeanet Mason's official visit to the Ahafo Region. 

The delegation, would later, travel to the Asunafo South & North, and Asutifi South Districts where they will meet the Districts officials in addition to a visit to the one thousand (1000) Acre Cocoa plantation at Sankore, the quarry raw materials site, Lakeside, Mim Bour, at Mim, and the rice farm at Hwidiem to hold discussions on how South Africa could assist with attracting investors into these business productive sectors.

Furthermore, the South Africa delegation would make a stopover at the Tano South and North Districts to meet the District officials and visit the Tomato farms at Derma, the Tano River to see the school of fish at Tanoso, and Regional Chief farmer at Duayaw Nkwanta.
