At Bawku in the Upper East Region, military soldiers are said to have killed one person.

The event is alleged to have occurred on Tuesday, according to reports.

Bawku has constantly been in the news due to endless ethnic clashes that have killed numerous lives and displaced a large number of people.

An 8:00 pm to 5:00 am curfew was established in the neighborhood after further skirmishes around a month ago, which resulted in the arrest of five people.

A sporadic shooting, however, is said to have erupted in the area around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, with the cause unknown.
