Small Scale Miners Descend Heavily On Akufo-Addo For Meeting NHCs And MMDCEs Over Galamsey Menace

meeting with the National House of Chiefs and Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives [MMDCEs] on Wednesday October 5, 2022 over the galamsey canker is a waste of national resources and needless, the scores of small scale miners in the Central and Western Regions have stated.

the miners noted that the President meeting with the NHCs and MMDCES is completely not necessary and useless.
Speaking in an interview with with KESSBEN FM, monitored by Soireenews.com, one of the executives of Small Scale Miners Association in the Central Region, Mr.Joe Kay pointed out that,no government either President Akuffo Addo or Former President John Dramani Mahama can eliminated the galamsey operations in the Country.
He said,what needs most is to put good measures in place to help fight galamsey menace but not to attempt eliminate it from the country.
He hinted that, government efforts to fight against galamsey won't yield and good results.
He said, government should laid down proper measures in fighting galamsey.
He said,most of Ghanian Youths engage in criminal activities due to the hardship the country is facing.
Nana Akuffo Addo's coming in as President has totally deformed the Country.
He said, Galamsey could have saved the Country's from this hardship.
"Looking at what is happening in the mining industry, it seems that President Nana Akufo-Addo has totally failed in the fight against the illegal small scale mining activities, he stressed.
