Singer OV says, "My song is about my rehabilitation from a mental illness I had"

Singer OV (Original Version) from Ghana has revealed that her new song, "Shush," is about the mental illness she experienced after leaving Stonebwoy's Burniton Music.

OV claims that after she severely parted ways with Stonebwoy's record company, she developed a mental illness called psychotic episodes that had an impact on her mental well-being.

OV made headlines a few years ago for having an odd appearance and seemed melancholy.

Many people blamed her drug use for her messy appearance. The singer has already revealed the cause of her messy appearance.

After the departure, that is. It was something that really got under my skin. I began to wonder, "Am I not enough? I began to question whether I deserved to be on a label as a result.

It put me in a situation that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. It caused me a lot of suffering. I was feeling down. I eventually started avoiding everyone.

OV has said that the betrayal and the mental health problems she had are the subjects of her new song.

"Shush is an emotive song," she remarked. I find it to be really profound and intimate. Because my thoughts was scattered at the time, it is profound and self-explanatory. It was insane.

"Until I felt better, I continued to sing. Even eating was impossible for me without liquid. I had experienced a second relapse at that point.

So, my friend visited me where I was imprisoned and assisted me in writing numerous songs that would appear on my EP. Then again, I was unable to relinquish it.

He informed me that the texts I had previously written did not make sense on the day he visited. I then read to him to clarify what I had been seeing and hearing.
