Manchester City striker, Sergio Agüero will head out of Manchester City on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The president of Barcelona football club, Joan Laporta has reportedly held positive talks with the forward's advisors and a deal is close to being finalized to ensure his move to the Nou Camp, which will see him link up with Lionel Messi.

According to reports by Eurosport, Sergio Aguero is poised to sign a two-year deal with the Blaugrana.

Aguero’s time at Man City is winding down, and he will leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Many giant clubs in Europe and across Asia have shown their interest in signing the Argentine International and the notable among them is Barcelona.

The Catalans are well documented on account of Aguero’s positive relationship with Lionel Messi and the likelihood of a move to Nou Camp has advanced after positive talks between Barca and Aguero’s agent.

Negotiations are at an advanced stage, with only minor details needed to be ironed out before Aguero puts his name to the contract.

The probability of Sergio moving to Barca is high because his people gave a positive reaction to the initial contact, and the contact made by the Catalan’s new President confirms the obvious.

The signing of Sergio Aguero would be a major boost to the Blaugrana and also increases the prospect of Lionel Messi remaining at the club.

Lionel has earlier revealed that he would make a decision on his future at the end of the season, and the prospect of his close friend Aguero arriving strengthens Barca’s hand.
