Nelson Semedo has been put on a transfer list by Barcelona.

 The 26-year old is expected to leave Barcelona with two years left on his current contract.

Talks of a new deal broke down after Barcelona failed to reach an agreement with the player in the end. The Catalans had wanted to extend Semedo’s contract till 2025 but the Portuguese demands were too high to be met especially in such a time when club’s finances have been affected.

Barcelona are looking to generate a further 70 million euros in player sales before June 30 in order to balance their books therefore putting Semedo up for sale would be a good move but will also create a considerable gap in their squad considering the agility of the player and his qualities.

His sales could also help boost in the purchases of Lautaro Martinez and Milan Pjanic.

Interested clubs could budget a fee in the region f 40 million euros for the services of the Portuguese.
