Legendary gospel musician, Yaw Sarpong, has named a galaxy of stars to feature on his next album.

The veteran leader of the Yaw Sarpong and Asomafo music group listed a number of "secular artistes" now set to perform in his next album while speaking in an interview with Nana Kwesi Asare on The Big Show on Class 91.3 FM.

“I have an upcoming album which includes Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata and Stonebwoy”. He revealed.

The "Wo How Ne Sen" singer also said he will be featuring a host of renowned gospel stars, the likes of Joe Mettle, Kwaku Gyasi, Patience Nyarko, and Joyce Blessing. He hinted on his current work, explaining that he and veteran highlife musician Amakye Dede are on the verge of making history with a smash hit.

“The album would have been ready by now but because of coronavirus but everything depends on my management and I obey whatever they will say,” he confessed. 

The multifaceted artist revealed that his secret lies in not being choosy with the music he listens to, as he listens to all sorts of songs to find a great blend of rhythm and soul for his.

"You can pick a whole lot from them [secular artistes]. The instruments they use to play their songs is the same instrument used in the gospel industry that is why I listen to everyone’s songs but if there is profanity in the lyrics, then I say 'we were not brought up that way' but the rhythm, I listen.”
