Leroy Sané has spoken of his desire to win trophies with Bayern Munich, and the Champions League is his topmost priority, something Manchester City could not afford since his time.

Sane has granted his first interview with Bayern after his transfer was officially confirmed by both clubs.

The German international brought his four-year stay in Manchester to an end and opted for a move to his homeland following his rejection of contract to extend his playing days at the Etihad.

Sane signed a five-year contract with the Bavarians after Manchester City and the Bundesliga outfits agreed on a deal worth up to €60m (£54.8m) on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

He won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, two League Cups and two Community Shields in his four-year stay at the Etihad following his transfer from Schalke.

“FC Bayern is a very big club and has big goals - and these goals suit me as well. I'm looking forward to the new challenge and can't wait to train with the team.

“I still know Hansi Flick from the U21 national team, we had a very good relationship there. I want to win as many titles as possible with FC Bayern, and the Champions League is at the top. ”
