Sale of Governmet's Affordable Houses to begin in March – Minister

Deputy Minister for Works and Housing and MP for Subin, Eugene Boakye Antwi has said in an exclusive interview with Kwame Tanko on Angel FM’s flagship program – ‘Angel in the Morning’ that the Housing Ministry will begin sale of Asokore Mampong housing unit in March this year.

The project, which consists of 91 blocks of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats with complementary infrastructure and community facilities, was started in 2006 by the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing under the leadership of Hackman Owusu Agyemang.

The Minister welcomed individuals, professional associations and institutions who may be interested to purchase some of the housing units which will be sold out for GHC 99, 000 and GHC 335, 000 respectively for various types of rooms ranging from one to three bedrooms.

“ The houses are ready; 1-Bedroom Standard will sell at GHC 99,000, 1 Bedroom Special will also sell at GHC 142,500; 2-bedroom will sell at GHC 182, 500 and 3-bedroom will go for ghc 335,000, But that is solely for the Asokore Mampong Project”.

 

 

These are recommended prices, I’m saying recommended, I’m qualifying it before I will be misquoted, he added.
