The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), an opposition party, have organized countrywide marches to protest the nation's power shortage and have demanded that President Cyril Ramaphosa step down.

The Film and Publication Board (FPB) issued a statement in which it claimed that the video cautions that teachers, police officers, and students who are wearing school uniforms during the demonstrations will all be physically assaulted.

It stated that a person who identified themselves as an EFF member posted the footage.

The FPB said it would closely watch Twitter's removal of the content internally to prevent any further public dissemination or release.

The public has been warned not to share, repost, or disseminate the aforementioned video; violators risk legal action for disseminating or distributing illegal material.

The Julius Malema-led EFF party has promised to "shut down" the entire country on Monday, and the police have stated that they will be on high alert to prevent any violence.

According to News24, Mr. Malema maintains that the demonstrations are not unlawful and has threatened to "meet their maker" if anyone tries to put an end to them.
