SA tavern tragedy: I saw them fall one after another

At least 21 people died at a nightclub over the weekend, and the club's entertainment manager, Promise Matinise, told the BBC that he "saw people falling one after the other after bouncers fought to control large crowds that had entered the institution."

Additionally, he claims that "at first he assumed they had passed out from too much drinking and then realized that some had stopped breathing."

He claims that at this point, they called the business's owner to let him know what was happening.

The facility frequently held enormous audiences, he continued, but this past weekend it appeared as though more people had attended the event.
