SA man runs 90km to ask woman to marry him

Online users have gone into a frenzy over a South African man who genuinely went above and beyond to show his love for his girlfriend. His story is trending on social media.

To pop the question to Prudence, the 57-year-old guy, Joseph Kagiso Ndlovu, raced a 90km (56-mile) ultramarathon.

As he approached the Comrades Marathon's finish line on Sunday, he was seen waving a sign that asked the woman to marry him.

"Will you marry me, Prudence? 90 km run for you, "Observe the banner.

The man's efforts to win his lover over have been the subject of much discussion in the local media and online.

Prudence Dick, who was present at the race to support him, accepted Mr. Ndlovu's proposal, he revealed to the BBC on Monday.

He claimed they started dating at the start of this year and intend to wed sometime in 2019.

He continued, saying that this was his eighth time participating in the marathon and that she was the primary inspiration for doing so this time around after a two-year sabbatical.

Before, it was unclear whether she had accepted the offer, and some users online had been encouraging her to do so.
