Online users have gone into a frenzy over a South African man who genuinely went above and beyond to show his love for his girlfriend. His story is trending on social media.

To pop the question to Prudence, the 57-year-old guy, Joseph Kagiso Ndlovu, raced a 90km (56-mile) ultramarathon.

As he approached the Comrades Marathon's finish line on Sunday, he was seen waving a sign that asked the woman to marry him.

The man's efforts to win his lover over have been the subject of much discussion in the local media and online.
