The Rotary Club of Sunyani-Central has donated medical equipment to thirteen (13) health facilities in the Municipality.

The equipment worth $73,063.02 according to the club is to health foster maternal health care in the Municipality.

Addressing the media at official handling of the equipment to the facilities at a mini ceremony at the 3rd Infantry Battalion Barracks, the presidents of the Rotary Club of Sunyani-Central, RP Mawuli Johnson Tsagli-Awor indicated that the club after assessing the 13 facilities were challenged to fulfil their lack hence the presentation.

He charged the staff at the various facilities to ensure maintenance culture to secure the equipment to serve for longer.

The facilities that benefited from the donation are Sunyani Municipal Hospital, Seventh Day Adventist Hospital, 3 Medical Reception stations at 3BN Barracks, Trinity Hospital Kumasi, and the Bono Regional Hospital.

 The rest are Atronie Health Centre, watchman Health Centre, Yawsae Health Centre, Antwikrom Health Centre, Owusu Memorial Hospital, Abesim Health Centre, Yawhima Health Centre, and Nkrankom CHIPS compound.

 The equipment donated include, Warmers, Baby Suction Devices, Examination Gloves, Autoclave, Delivery Beds, Microscope, Wheel Chairs, Defibrillators, Cardiac Monitors, ECG Machine, Nebulizers, Hospital Beds And  Dental Chair,

 Speaking at the event, the Commanding Officer at 3BN LFT. Col. Dominic Boah commended the Rotary club and called on them to help complete their theatre facility.

Receiving the equipment on behalf of the facility, the nurses at the beneficiary facilities expressed their appreciation to the Rotary Club of Sunyani-Central for the kind gesture and assured them of their willingness to ensure a maintenance culture to prolong the lifespan of the equipment.
