Armed thieves shot a mobile money salesman in the chest at Kalariga in the Northern Region's Tamale capital.

The armed robbers, who arrived on a motorcycle, shot two people, one in the knee and the other in the head, according to eyewitnesses.

According to reports, the bandits made off with a bag carrying cash.

After a previous robbery attack near the Afa Ajura mosque a few days ago, this is the second robbery attack on a mobile money dealer.

A large crowd gathered to see today's robbery.

The mob was reportedly enraged by the robbers' acts and beat two Fulani men who arrived at the site since the alleged robbers were Fulanis.

They also set fire to the vehicle they were riding.
