Robbers Injured  Passengers   On Board Of Ford  On Cape Coast-Kasoa- Accra Highways

The Central East Police Command of the Ghana Police Service in the Central Region have called on the passengers who are being attacked by the armed robbers on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, on the Cape Coast-Accra- Highway in between Otchereko Police Station and Gomoa Dominase area Kasoa to officially lodge a report to the police of the incident.
The passengers onboard Ford, according to the formation available to are traveling from the Takoradi to Accra and were suddenly attacked and Injured by the robbers when they got to the Gomoa Dominase stretch of road of Cope Cape- Winneba-Kasoa-Accra Highways.
Addressing the journalists at Kasoa on Thursday, January 13, 2022, the Deputy Commander of the Central East Police Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Mr. Oduro Amaning revealed that the 
police received a distress call on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 night that passengers are being attacked by armed robbers on the Cape Coast to Accra Highway.
According to ACP Amazing, the police patrol and the CTU team, upon receiving the information moved to the scene but unfortunately, the armed robbers had run away.
The senior police officer stated that about 15 cartridges of pomp action guns were fired upon the investigation of the police.
He asserted that it has also come to their notice that some of the passengers were injured.
The Central East Police Command has therefore appealed to the victims of the incident to come and report and in turn provide the police with the necessary information to arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
