Road Tolls Reintroduction:  NPP Is Totally Confused In Management Of Ghana – Tain NDC Communications officerJabs
The Communications officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tain Constituency of the Bono Region, Mr. Nkrumah Abayie popularly known in the political cycle as Oga, has taken a swipe at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for mismanagement of the country which has increased the poverty of many Ghanaians.
According to him, it is now clear that the Akufo-Addo led NPP government is totally confused in management of Ghana, adding that the ruling NPP is bewildered that the country is now on robot pilot.
The NDC communications officer stressed that it has become so obvious that the NPP has no clue about the directions it taking Ghana to.
Abayie's comment follows a notice by the Finance Minister, Mr Ken Ofori-Atta saying the is considering to reinstate road tolls in the country through Private Public Partnership Agreement, after it was abolished by the Minister for Roads and Highways, Mr Amoako Atta
Mr. Nkrumah Abayie made this known Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in an interview on Tain FM Anopa Nkommo show with Appiah Kubi.
He said the mid-year budget review was totally empty and had nothing to be convinced with.
"I wonder how obvious the NPP is, and so confused. The country is now on autopilot. In the first place, the reason for the abolishment of tolls in the country was a rush decision, the Government did not think through properly before making that decision.
"We are back to square one, if today you are tolling our roads to raise revenue. What level of thinking went into the abolishment in the first instance,” Oga reiterated.
