Road Contractors sabotaging NPP Gov’t- Chairman

The Ahafo Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Kwabena Owusu Sekyere is accusing some local contractors working on various road projects in the region of shoddy work, the situation he said is a plan to sabotage Nana Addo’s led government.

Mr. Kwabena Owusu Sekyere believes the contractors are working indirectly against the NPP government looking at the slow pace and shoddy works on the roads giving to them on construct.

According to him, the President of Ghana after the creation of six extra regions noted that the roads in the Ahafo region were bad therefore contracted them to eleven local contractors.

Mr. Kwabena Owusu Sekyere noted that the attitude of the contractors could spell doom for the New Patriotic Party in 2024 because the people will be forced to vote against the party.

Those living in the rural areas are really suffering from dust.” He further lamented

“People are coward in telling the truth. If care is not taken, some people will take NPP to the opposition. A time will come I won’t be the Regional Chairman, so I have to leave a legacy behind,” he affirmed.

Mr. Owusu Sekyere said he is working with his colleague Regional Chairmen of the NPP party to meet the Minister of Roads and Highway to deliberate on the matter.
