The residents of Twifo Kayireku in the Twifo Ati-Morkwa District in the Central Region are in fear and anxiety following the murder of two persons in the area.

The Unit Committee Chairman of Twifo Kayireku, Mr Adai Peter, who disclosed the incident in an interview with Soireenews via telephone call on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, stated that two persons who are residents in the community were found dead in the bush with some parts of their bodies missing. 

According to him, the killing of the two persons happened within a spate of three weeks in the area.

He stated that the current trend of mysterious deaths in the area has caused intense fear and panic among the residents in the area.

Teacher Adai appealed to the Twifo Ati-Morkwa District Police Command to fast struck investigations of the crimes to bring the perpetrators to book and ensure the security of the residents as well.

The Twifo Ati-Morkwa and Hemang Lower-Denkyira  District Police Commander Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mt Charles Addai Boateng confirmed the incident to the journalists.

The senior police officer assured the residents of Twifo Kayireku of intensive security and explained that the extent of the police investigations into the matter.
