Information reaching Soireenws.com has confirmed that tension is currently brewing
at Battor-Aveyime, the farming and fishing community in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region.
This situation follows as the Battor-Aveyime branch Pastor of Engelical Presbyterian Church of Ghana has raised an alarm bell over the death threats on his personal life by thugs.
According to the man of God, his life is under serious threat and showed a video which has confirmed death threat attacked on his life at his resident on Friday 23rd August,2024.
He revealed that since yesterday, no arrest has been made by the police after he has officially reported this to the police at Aveyime Police Station.
According to the pastor, the Commander in charge at the North Tongu police station said there were no extra police staff to use to arrest the said powerful and spiritual man because of the ongoing voters Exhibition exercise.*
Others questioned if this has come to the notice of the North Tongu District District (DCE), Mr Osborn Divine Fenu who is the chairman of North Tongu District Security Committee (DISEC)
The concern members of the community and the church have the fear that if nothing is done and no security protection given to this pastor, something might happen.
The report confirmed the life of the pastor is at risk.
The security is therefore pleaded to come to his aid
