“Rex Omar is an Hypocrite for calling Akufo-Addo corrupt” - Akoo Nana

Ghanaian musician, Akoo Nana, has upbraided Rex Omar for accusing Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of squandering federal funds on the acquisition of private jets.

He reasoned that even if it were true that the President was misusing state funds it would not be for the likes of Rex Omar to point it out as he himself is guilty of the same offense by virtue of his position as the Board Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO).

Akoo Nana accused Rex Omar of also misusing GHAMRO funds, pointing out that someone who is guilty of an offense has no moral right to disrespect the President by cooking up the unfounded claim, especially on radio.

He further called for the need to conduct an investigation into Rex Omar's use of GHAMRO funds, highlighting that he only had one small car (a Renault) before taking the job, but now he owns a fleet, questioning Rex Omar on how he was able to acquire that much property in a short period of time.

The 'Bambala' hitmaker indicated how he feels Rex Omar was able to make the money, accusing him of not paying the proper amount of royalties to Ghanaian musicians.

He finally warned that since Rex Omar does not respect the President, he too should not be respected.
