Ghana’s Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia extended the glaring betrayal of his Islamic doctrines with an image denting appearance on the Christian pulpit with the new tag Pastor Bawumia.
As part of his deceptive moves to woe the Christian fraternity into his grounded political ship, the economist-turned IT specialist mounted the podium with biblical verses to cap his recent desperation for political favors.
Attending the Episcopal Ordination Service at the Consecration Grounds of the Cathedral Church of the Most Holy Trinity for their Pontifical High Mass, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia expectedly used the platform to confirm the recent betrayal of his Islamic tenets with biblical verses.
To confirm his rather surprised desperation for a political shield from the Christian parlance, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia called economics out of Galatians chapter 6 verse 8 and Proverbs Chapter 29 verse 4 to leave the audience stunned.
Responding to a verse recited by the pastor for the day, ‘Pastor’ Bawumia stormed the podium with his trademarks out of context analysis.
“This is a very very deep piece of scripture because it says if you sow to the flesh you will reap corruption but if you sow to the spirit you will reap eternal life. But, there is so much economics embedded in this scripture.
"You may not see it but if you are an investor and you want to sow and invest in something which will get rotten, is that a good investment?  The flesh we all know will turn into dust and get rotten. So we should not be investing in the flesh”, Pastor Bawumia told the masses assembled.
He concluded with Proverbs 29 verse 4 to lay the foundation for another non-existent economic content.
“So I go to Proverbs 29 verse 4. Today I am becoming a pastor and it says a just king gives stability to his nation but one who demands a bribe destroys it. Just king gives stability to his nation but the one who demands bribes destroys it. The whole issue of corruption is enveloped with sin but we live in a society where this phenomenon is one that we need to”
Pastor Bawumia did not only betray Islam, he also abused the pulpit and the word of God to embark on his campaign and propaganda.
