The Chief of the Nkrankwanta traditional area Nana Adjei Ekyea Akombi II has made a passionate appeal to the Bono Regional Minister to assist them in providing the necessary resources to the Fire service facility in Nkrankwanta for it to begin operations.

According to him, resourcing the facility by providing personnel, training, necessary equipment, and other logistical support t will make the GNFS more effective to deliver on its mandate.

He explained that they have to fall on the Dormaa Fire service station whenever there is an incident, this he claims is disheartening since properties and lives may be lost by the time the fire service personnel arrive at the scene.

He indicated that a heavy downpour that occurred on March 3, 2022, destroyed several properties at the Nkrankwanta Senior High Technical School and rendered some residents homeless after their roofing sheets were ripped off needs to be supported.

He stressed that ever since that incident some people are still homeless and the school's facility which was destroyed has not been renovated so it is making it difficult for the school's administration to enroll more students as the form ones report to school.

He, however, called for the minister's assistance.
The Bono Regional Minister Justinia Owusu Banahene promised to do the needful with the assistance of the Assembly and the traditional authorities.
