According to the residents, armed robbers have invaded and taken over their town attacking the people day and night, especially those dealing in the gold business.

The residents of Nkotumso in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region have called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr George Akufo Dampare to provide them with a police station or police post immediately to solve the security challenges facing the people.

According to the residents, armed robbers have invaded and taken over their town attacking the people day and night, especially those dealing in the gold business.

They said several companies have served and petitioned the IGP with their letters seeking support from authorities about the situation to solve the issue.

The residents claimed several letters written have yielded no results and nothing has been done about the insecurity situation in the town.

The residents, therefore, have appealed to the Inspector General of Police ( IGP) Dr George Akufo Dampare to provide them with a police station to help them fight the armed robbers and other security issues they are facing.
