Residents of Yeboakrom, a farming community in the Nkrankrom electoral area of the Sunyani Municipality in the Bono Region have called on the government to extend electricity to the area to make life more comfortable.

Some residents who spoke to Soiree news said they were made to cut down big trees along the road to the community for poles to be placed, but after the election, no work has commenced yet.

According to them, successive governments have failed to heed concerns raised by the community though they continue to vote. They said the Member of Parliament Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh before the election promised to get the community on the national grid but has refused to deliver.

The people alleged that the votes obtained during the election according to the MP were not impressive to enable the community to benefit from developmental projects.

They said though the community was close to Nkrankrom, where there is electricity which makes it easy for Yeboakrom to be connected. Some community members recounted the hardship they through to get their mobile phones charged.

Touching on health, they called on authorities to establish a CHPS compound for accessibility of immediate health care.
