National Nasara Coordinator aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Haruna Mohammed Maiga has called on the National Executive Committee (NEC) of NPP to strictly reserve the National Nasara Coordinator position for non-indigenous tribes.

Mr. Haruna Maiga, who is related to the founder of the Nasara Club of NPP, Alhaji Fusseini Maiga, noted that NPP can benefit from the Zongo communities if they adopt strategies that can attract them(ZONGO YOUTH) into the party's fold.

According to him, analysis of all results of the last general elections under the fourth Republic has shown that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) can never win political power without the support it enjoys from the Zongo communities and therefore the NPP must leave no stone on turned in the quest to overturn it.

The media consultant made this assertion when he declared his intention to join the race for the National Nasara Coordinator position for NPP.

In the NPP flagbearership race, Mr. Maiga called on NEC to build on consensus to get the party a presidential candidate.

He is of the view that a political party should also think about uniting its members because most times at elections there are divisions among party faithfuls.
