The Savannah Regional Minister Hon Saeed Muhazu Jibril Jegede paid a visit to the examination centres where Senior High Schools final year students are undertaking their West African Senior High School Certificate Examination, WASSCE.

 The centers include Damongo Senior High School, DASS, and Ndewura Jakpa Senior High/Technical School, NDESCO.

Hon Jegede was there to commensurate with the students as they partake in an examination that would pave way for their greater heights in the academic ladder. 

Addressing students and invigilators separately at the two centres, Hon. Jegede admonished them not to engage in examination malpractices and urged them to remain focused.

He also pleaded with the invigilators to handle the students with utmost care in order not to distract their morale in the examination. 

“I am pleading with you the invigilators not act in a way that will destabilize or put fear in the candidates” the Minister added.

The West African Examination Council on September 13, 2021, kickstarted the WASSCE examinations in all Senior high schools examination centres in with Core English Language. 

The Minister was accompanied by the Regional Director of Education and some other officials of the Ghana Education Service.
