The Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Fomena Constituency have appealed to the President, Nana Akufo Addo and the National Executives of the party to reappoint the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Adansi North District, Honourable Eric Kwaku Kusi or consider the political party dead in the District.

In an interaction with the media, the aggrieved Youths revealed that supporters of the Independent candidate who were the main orchestrators of the party's loss in the 2020 election are lobbying for the position of the District Chief Executive and if the leadership heeds to their demands, that will be the end of NPP.

"It is important to draw the attention of H.E Nana Akufo Addo the President of the Republic of Ghana, National and Regional Executives that some supporters of the Independent candidate in the Fomena Constituency during 2020 general elections including their campaign manager, Samuel Kwaku Afoakwa, Operations manager, Daniel Nkansah, Public Relations Officer, Seth Oduro and Desmond Afoakwa are now lobbying for DCE's position in our Constituency and for that matter Adansi North District".

"We are sending this plea to the President and National and Regional Executives not to entertain them. Failure to do that would be an indictment on the party, and would serve as bad precedence which would encourage other party members to follow independent candidates and later take the party at ransom" they said.

Some also told Soireenews that failure to listen to their pleas will amount to various degree of demonstrations which will not auger well for the party at the Constituency level.
