This was shortly after Ghanaians had put money together to donate towards his surgery. It was estimated that £40,000 needed to keep him alive.

Ghanaians had opened a GoFundMe account for him to gather funds for the emergency surgery required to bring him back to good health.

First Lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, had donated the sum of $20,000 to the young and talented pencil artist.

"Dear Emmanuel, I wish you the very best, speedy recovery. God bless! Rebecca Akufo-Addo-Addo" she wrote.

Ghanaian actress, Ama K Abebrese, also donated part of the £40,000 needed to keep him alive, all to no avail. The actress used her huge platform on social media to call for more donations.

“I have donated. Kindly share and donate if you can. No amount is too small,” she wrote.
