The Queen mother of Asante Mampong, Nana Agyakomaa Dufie II has appealed to all queen mothers in the Asante Kingdom to be exemplary to their town’s people through participating in the coronavirus immunization.

Nana Agyakomaa Dufie II was at the Manhyia Palace on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, to witness the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II take his jab of the covid-19 vaccine before she followed suit regardless of the conspiracies trending across Ghana on the vulnerabilities of the shot.

She asked all women who wield social power and influence to disregard any idle talks and save their lives through the available coronavirus vaccines, to pave way for those that look up to them as well.

“The vaccine is a great privilege for us in the fight against the novel pandemic,” she said in an interview with Soireenews.

“My advice to all Queen-mothers is for them to be involved in the covid-19 jab to serve as an example for their community members.

She finally advised that coronavirus has come to stay and “the only thing to arm ourselves from getting killed is through the vaccine.”

“It gives us the strength to overcome the virus even if we are infected. There is the need to come in numbers for the vaccine because there is no fear in this at all.”
