The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of Tutu Methodist Basic School in the Akuapem North Municipality in the Eastern Region of Ghana has expatriated a swarm of bees that frequently attack the school.

The bees have occupied the compound of the school, attacking pupils over the past years.

Mr. Annan, the Head Teacher of the school, told SN24 News correspondent, William Ofori Akwaboa, that the bees that usually invade the school and attack pupils and teachers every harmattan season were removed over the weekend with the help of PTA and some opinion leaders in the Tutu community.

He applauded the action of the elders for the exercise.

The Head Teacher called for a school park which will serve as a place for physical exercises since encroachment has already taken away the majority of their lands.

He said that the school is unable to take part in sports activities due to the lack of playing ground.
