Prosper Negble Apprehended for Sackitey's Murderer 

The suspect allegedly stabbed his wife to death with a knife and abandoned her in a hotel room at Somanya, the Municipal capital of Yilo Krobo in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The husband of Believe Sackitey has been arrested by the Eastern regional police command after he was identified by some workers of Gameli Guest House as the main personality behind the murder of his wife.

The suspect was apprehended by the police after the family of the deceased, Believe Sackitey were invited, including the husband by the Eastern Regional Police Command to continue with the already ongoing investigations of Sackitey's gruesome murder in the Gameli Guesthouse on Monday, April 5, 2021.

Recalling the event, a lady of age 25, also a vegetable trader on Monday, April 5, 2021, was found dead in one of the rooms of Gameli Guesthouse, at Somanya, the Municipal capital of Yilo Krobo in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The suspect, Prosper Negble who accompanied his wife to the guest house last week Sunday, April 4, 2021, allegedly stabbed her to death with a knife and abandoned her in the room.

The Police later found a knife at the scene with stained blood and wrapped it in a black polythene bag that had been kept under the mattress by the suspect after he allegedly committed the crime and bolted.

He gave his name at the reception of the said guest house as Charles Tetteh but has now been identified as Prosper Negble by the Police.

Prosper Negble a.k.a Charles Tetteh was also vouched for as the husband of the deceased, Believe Sakitey by the family members of the deceased.

The Acting Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Francis Gomado who confirmed the arrest to  Soiree News correspondent on Sunday, April 11, 2021, said "the Police, upon investigation invited the family members of the deceased, including the husband, to the Somanya District Police station, to assist in getting relevant information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect".

Sgt. Gomado narrated, that "on the arrival at the Somanya Police station, a worker at Gameli Guest House (name withheld) identified the husband of the deceased as the man who came in with the deceased (Believe Sackitey) to lodge at the guest house on Sunday 4th of April 2021."

The Police source continued, that the cleaner informed them that the suspect sent her many times to buy him things from a shop which made him curious hence deliberately observed and took notice of his identity.

Sergeant Francis Gomado confirmed, that two other workers (names withheld) also confirmed the identity of the suspect when sent to the crime scene.

He said the suspect has been thoroughly questioned and detained to enable police to put him before the court for a possible remand on Monday.
